This award is for the true trailblazers of the reality capture industry – the innovators who are pushing boundaries and introducing cutting-edge workflows into their organization’s aerial or ground robot mapping and operations programs. DroneDeploy Champions can be well known in the industry or unsung heroes, but they have all found ways to drive efficiency in their reality capture programs while making their day-to-day operations safer and more effective.

Operational Excellence

This award highlights teams that have established and evolved their reality capture program with an effective growth strategy. These innovative teams have created a system to teach and nurture internal talent to leverage new technology and revamped their organization to successfully leverage drones, cameras, and ground robotics to fully capture the reality of their sites, buildings, fields, assets, or infrastructure.

Guardian of Safety

Guardian of Safety

This award honors companies that are using reality capture processes and insights to reimagine traditional ways of working, making a direct and measurable impact on worker safety by improving operations, reducing the need to perform manual tasks, and removing unnecessary hazards. This company will likely have an impressive EMR Safety Rating.

Innovation of The Year

Innovation of The Year

This award honors companies that are pushing the boundaries of reality capture technology and setting the tone for where the industry is heading. This organization uses a customized stack of algorithms, APIs, and reality capture data to improve accessibility and workflows. They offer a glimpse at what’s beyond the horizon.

Steward of Sustainability

This award honors companies that are using reality capture data to further their sustainability efforts. By leveraging DroneDeploy, this company is meeting humanitarian development goals, with a focus on sustainable development, to provide the resources communities depend on.

Community and Workforce Development

Community and Workforce Development

This award honors companies that are using reality capture data to broaden their labor force and improve their community. This organization has made concerted efforts and introduced programs to grow its talent base and/or improve the communities around them by leveraging this new technology and data.

3 finalists per category will be selected and notified by September 30. Winners in all 6 categories will be announced at DroneDeploy Conference held on October 6-7 in Dallas, TX.

Winners will receive:

  • One conference pass to DroneDeploy Conference 2023
  • A DroneDeploy award trophy
  • A customer story package highlighted on DroneDeploy’s website and channels, including but not limited to a case study, article, press release, and social media feature. The customer story package may also include photography, film and/or other media.

Eligibility to enter:

  • Must be a DroneDeploy customer and use DroneDeploy on the submitted project.
  • Must agree to the use of company name and logo in DroneDeploy marketing collateral and channels.
  • Must agree to be mentioned in a press release announcing the finalists and winners.

Does it cost anything to submit for the DroneDeploy Awards?
No, submissions are free and there are no limits to the number of entries per company. So submit one project or dozens!

Do I have to attend the DDC22 to receive an Award?
Yes, you or a company representative must be present to receive your award at the reception.

When is DDC22?
DDC22 will be held on October 6-7, 2022.

How do I enter the 2022 DroneDeploy Awards?
Submit your nomination via the official entry form.

What is the deadline to submit?
We are accepting submissions until August 30, 2022 at 11:59pm PT

Can I enter more than one submission?
Yes, you may enter up to five submissions per company. However we ask that you enter a different program, initiative or project if you are entering in more than one category.

How many finalists and winners are there?
Each category may have up to three finalists. One winner will be chosen per category.

When are finalists announced?
Finalists will be notified in September via email and will be announced on our website prior to the conference.

When are winners announced?
Winners will be announced live at the awards reception held at DroneDeploy Conference.

Who are the judges for the competition?
A selection committee made up of DroneDeploy stakeholders from various departments and teams will select finalists. Judges will use the judging criteria to make finalist and winner selections in each category without any bias given to entrants regardless of relationships.
